Product Description:
Acivir 400 mg Tablet contains Aciclovir, a synthetic nucleoside analogue active against herpesviruses. It works by inhibiting viral DNA synthesis, thereby preventing the replication of the virus. This action helps in treating various viral infections, including herpes simplex, shingles, and chickenpox.
Indications / Uses:

Herpes Simplex Virus Infections: Cold sores and genital herpes.

Varicella Zoster Virus Infections: Shingles and chickenpox.

Herpes Simplex Virus Infections in Immunocompromised Patients: Including infections of the eye.
Mechanism of Action:
Aciclovir is selectively activated in virus-infected cells by the viral enzyme thymidine kinase. Once activated, it inhibits viral DNA polymerase, preventing viral DNA replication and thus halting the growth of the virus.
Dosage & Administration:
