Generic Composition:
-
Glimepiride 2 mg (Sulfonylurea)
-
Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (Biguanide)
Category: Oral Anti-Diabetic (Dual Combination)
Description:
Zoryl M 2 Tablet is a combination anti-diabetic medicine used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, and single therapy are insufficient to control blood sugar levels.
-
Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin.
-
Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, delays sugar absorption in the intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity.
Together, they provide better control of fasting and postprandial (after-meal) blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of long-term complications such as kidney damage, nerve issues, heart disease, and eye damage.
Uses:

Metformin (500 mg): Reduces hepatic glucose production, slows intestinal sugar absorption, improves insulin sensitivity
