Uses / Indications
Valzaar 80mg Tablet is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – widely used dose to maintain normal BP.

Heart Failure – helps improve symptoms, reduces hospitalizations, and increases survival.

Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – lowers the risk of future cardiovascular events.

Long-term protection for kidneys and heart in hypertensive and diabetic patients.
Mechanism of Action

Valsartan is an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB).

Blocks angiotensin II hormone → prevents narrowing of blood vessels.

Relaxes and widens arteries → lowers blood pressure.

Improves circulation, reduces strain on the heart, and protects kidneys.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 80–160 mg once daily (adjusted as per patient’s condition).

For hypertension: often started at 80 mg daily.

For heart failure or post-MI: used alone or with other medicines (beta-blockers, diuretics, ACE inhibitors).
