Uses / Indications
Gudcef-O Dry Syrup is prescribed for children (pediatric use) to treat bacterial infections like:

Respiratory tract infections: pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis

Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Mechanism of Action

Cefpodoxime (3rd gen cephalosporin):

Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis → weakens & kills bacteria

Broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria

Dosage & Administration

Children: Dose based on body weight (mg/kg/day) in 2 divided doses, as per pediatrician’s advice

Reconstitution: Add boiled & cooled water to the dry powder up to the marked line → shake well until uniform suspension forms

Shake well before each use

Administer using the provided measuring spoon/dropper

Give after meals for better absorption

Use reconstituted syrup within 7–10 days (store in refrigerator if advised)
Side Effects
