Uses / Indications
Monticop-Plus Tablet is prescribed for:

Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, congestion, watery eyes)

Asthma (maintenance therapy, not for acute attacks)

Chronic urticaria (hives, skin allergies, itching)

Productive cough with allergy or asthma

Respiratory tract infections with mucus build-up

COPD & chronic bronchitis (as add-on therapy)
Mechanism of Action
-
Montelukast: Leukotriene receptor antagonist → reduces airway inflammation & prevents bronchospasm

Levocetirizine: Antihistamine → blocks histamine, relieves sneezing, runny nose, itching

Ambroxol (SR): Mucolytic → thins mucus, makes it easier to expel, relieves chest congestion

Combined Effect: Controls allergy + asthma + cough with mucus in a single tablet
Dosage & Administration

Adults: 1 tablet once daily in the evening, or as prescribed

Take after meals with water

Not for immediate relief in asthma attacks → keep rescue inhaler handy
