Description
Zifi-AZ 500 Tablet is a broad-spectrum dual antibiotic containing Cefixime and Azithromycin.

Cefixime stops bacterial growth by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.

Azithromycin prevents bacteria from multiplying by blocking protein synthesis.
This higher-strength combination is especially useful in resistant typhoid fever and severe bacterial infections.
Uses / Indications

Typhoid fever (including resistant cases)

Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

ENT infections (otitis media, sinusitis)

Urinary tract infections (UTI)

Skin & soft tissue infections
Dosage (General Guidance)
(To be taken strictly as per doctor’s advice)

Adults: Usually 1 tablet once daily (depending on severity)

Children (>12 yrs): Dose adjusted by physician; younger children given suspension instead

Duration: Typically 7–14 days (especially in typhoid)
Route: Oral
Advice: Take after meals with water to improve absorption and reduce gastric upset
