Description: Tazact 4.5 g Injection is a combination of Piperacillin (extended-spectrum penicillin antibiotic) and Tazobactam (beta-lactamase inhibitor). It kills harmful bacteria and prevents resistance, making it highly effective in treating severe bacterial infections. It is administered intravenously under medical supervision.

Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 4.5 g IV every 6–8 hours (depending on severity).

Children: 100 mg/kg/day (Piperacillin component) in divided doses.

Adjust dose in patients with renal impairment.

Side Effects: Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, injection site reactions, headache, constipation. Rare: low blood counts, electrolyte imbalance, seizures (in very high doses).
Precautions:

Use with caution in kidney disease and patients with history of seizures.
