Description: Ketorol Injection contains Ketorolac Tromethamine, a potent NSAID. It provides strong short-term relief from moderate to severe pain by blocking prostaglandins, the substances that cause pain and inflammation. It is commonly used as an alternative to opioids for post-operative and trauma-related pain.

Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 30 mg IM/IV every 6–8 hrs as needed (maximum 90 mg/day).

Elderly/renal impairment: Max 60 mg/day.

Duration: Not to be used beyond 5 days.

Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, injection site pain. Rare: gastric ulcers/bleeding, kidney problems, high BP, allergic reactions.
Precautions:

Avoid in patients with gastric ulcer, bleeding disorders, severe kidney/liver disease, asthma, or NSAID allergy.

Not recommended in pregnancy (especially 3rd trimester) and breastfeeding.

Use with caution in elderly patients and those with hypertension or heart disease.
Drug Interactions:

Increased bleeding risk with anticoagulants (warfarin, heparin) and antiplatelets (aspirin, clopidogrel).

Higher GI risk with steroids (prednisolone, dexamethasone).

Kidney risk with diuretics, ACE inhibitors, ARBs.

Avoid with other NSAIDs.
Storage: Store below 25°C, protect from light & moisture. Do not freeze. Keep away from children.
