Description: Ondem 4 mg Injection contains Ondansetron, an antiemetic medicine that prevents nausea and vomiting. It works by blocking serotonin (5-HT3) receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal tract, which trigger vomiting. It is widely used in patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery.

Uses:

  • Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting

  • Radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting

  • Post-operative nausea and vomiting

  • Severe nausea/vomiting due to other medical conditions (as advised)

Dosage & Administration:

  • Adults: 4–8 mg IV/IM before chemotherapy/surgery; may repeat every 8–12 hrs if needed.

  • Route: Slow IV injection or IM.
