Description: Nervijen Injection is a combination of essential neurotropic vitamins (B12, B6, and B3). These vitamins help in nerve regeneration, red blood cell formation, energy metabolism, and management of neuropathic pain. It is commonly prescribed for neurological disorders, vitamin deficiencies, and general weakness.

Uses:

• Peripheral neuropathy (tingling, numbness, burning sensation)

• Diabetic and alcoholic neuropathy

• Sciatica, neuritis, neuralgia

• Megaloblastic anemia due to Vitamin B12 deficiency

• General weakness and fatigue

• As a supplement during long-term illness or post-surgery recovery

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: 1 injection IM/IV once or twice a week, as prescribed.

• Severe deficiency: More frequent dosing may be advised.

• Route: Deep intramuscular injection preferred; IV also possible.

Side Effects: Injection site pain/redness, mild headache, dizziness, nausea. Rare: allergic reactions, rash, difficulty in breathing (very rare).

Precautions:

• Avoid in patients with hypersensitivity to B-complex vitamins.

• Safe in pregnancy/lactation only if prescribed.

Drug Interactions:

• May reduce the effect of levodopa (if given without decarboxylase inhibitors).

• Folic acid deficiency may mask Vitamin B12 deficiency.

• Alcohol and certain drugs (isoniazid, hydralazine, phenytoin) may reduce vitamin effectiveness.
