Uses / Indications
Cardace 2.5mg Capsule is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – lowers BP and prevents complications.

Heart Failure – improves survival and reduces symptoms.

Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – lowers risk of recurrence.

Prevention of stroke, kidney problems, and cardiovascular complications in high-risk patients (diabetes, chronic kidney disease, etc.).
Mechanism of Action
-
Ramipril is an ACE Inhibitor (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor).

Blocks conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II → prevents blood vessel constriction.

Relaxes and widens blood vessels → lowers blood pressure.
-
Reduces strain on the heart and improves circulation.
-
Protects kidneys, especially in diabetic patients.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 2.5–10 mg daily (single or divided dose).

Initial dose often 2.5 mg once daily.

Dose is adjusted based on patient’s blood pressure and response.
