Uses / Indications
Diovan 40mg Tablet is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – helps control BP and reduce complications.

Heart Failure – improves symptoms and reduces hospitalizations.

Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – reduces the risk of further cardiovascular events.

Protects kidney and heart health in patients with long-term hypertension.
Mechanism of Action

Valsartan is an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB).

Blocks angiotensin II hormone → prevents tightening of blood vessels.

Relaxes and widens arteries → lowers blood pressure.

Improves circulation, reduces strain on the heart, and protects kidneys.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 40–160 mg daily, depending on condition.

Hypertension: often started with 40 mg once or twice daily.
