Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 1 g IV infusion every 6–8 hours (maximum 4 g/day).

Children (above 10 kg): Dose as per body weight (15 mg/kg every 6 hrs).

Route: Slow IV infusion over 15 minutes.

Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, injection site pain, flushing, dizziness. Rare: liver damage (in overdose), allergic reactions.
