Uses / Indications
Foracort Inhaler 100 is prescribed for long-term control of:

Asthma – prevention of symptoms (not for immediate relief).

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

Reduces wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing.
How It Works

Budesonide → reduces airway inflammation & swelling.
-
Formoterol → relaxes airway muscles for up to 12 hours.

Together → provide long-term asthma/COPD control, preventing attacks.
Dosage (General Guide – as directed by doctor)

Adults & Children (≥6 years): 2 inhalations, twice daily.

Not for sudden asthma attacks – a reliever inhaler (like Asthalin) should be used separately.
How to Use

Shake well before use.

Exhale fully, place mouthpiece between lips.

Press canister while inhaling deeply.
-
Hold breath for 5–10 seconds, then exhale.

Rinse mouth after use to prevent oral infections.
Side Effects
Common: Throat irritation, hoarseness, oral thrush (fungal infection), cough, headache, tremors.
Serious (rare): Palpitations, chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, allergic reaction.
Precautions & Warnings

Not a rescue inhaler (not for acute asthma attack).

Use with caution in heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disorders, infections.
