Uses / Indications
Foracort Inhaler 400 is prescribed for:

Severe asthma – long-term control and prevention of symptoms.

Moderate to severe COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

Prevents recurrent wheezing, breathlessness, coughing, and chest tightness.
How It Works

Budesonide → reduces airway inflammation, swelling, and irritation.

Formoterol → relaxes airway smooth muscles for up to 12 hours.

Together → improve lung function and prevent asthma/COPD flare-ups.
Dosage (General Guide – only as directed by doctor)

Adults: 2 inhalations twice daily (or as prescribed).

Not recommended for children unless specifically advised by doctor.

Not a rescue inhaler – for long-term control only.
How to Use

Shake inhaler before use.

Exhale fully, place mouthpiece in mouth.

Press canister while inhaling deeply.

Hold breath for 5–10 seconds, then exhale.

Rinse mouth after use to prevent oral thrush (fungal infection).
Side Effects
Common: Throat irritation, hoarseness, cough, oral thrush, headache, tremors.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe breathing difficulty, allergic reaction.
Precautions & Warnings

Not for sudden asthma attacks (use reliever inhaler separately).
