Generic Name: Vildagliptin 50 mg
Category: Oral Anti-Diabetic (DPP-4 Inhibitor)

Description:

Jalra 50 mg Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It contains Vildagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 inhibitor), that helps improve blood sugar control in adults.

It works by increasing incretin hormone activity, which stimulates insulin release from the pancreas and reduces excess glucose production in the liver. Jalra effectively lowers both fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels, and it has a low risk of hypoglycemia when used alone.

It can be used as monotherapy (alone) or in combination with other anti-diabetic medicines like Metformin, Sulfonylureas, Thiazolidinediones, or Insulin.

  • Helps prevent long-term diabetes complications like kidney damage, neuropathy, eye problems, heart attack, and stroke
