Uses / Indications

Monticop-A Tablet is prescribed for:

• Asthma (maintenance therapy, not for acute attack)

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, congestion)

• Bronchitis (chronic cough with mucus, inflammation)

• Other respiratory allergies causing breathing difficulty

Mechanism of Action

• Montelukast: Leukotriene receptor antagonist → reduces airway inflammation & prevents bronchospasm

• Acebrophylline: Bronchodilator + mucolytic → relaxes bronchial muscles, thins mucus, and improves airflow

• Combined Effect: Better breathing, reduced wheezing, cough & allergic symptoms

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 1 tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by physician
