Uses / Indications
Monticop-L Tablet is prescribed for:

Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, watery eyes)

Seasonal allergies (hay fever, pollen allergy)

Perennial rhinitis (dust, pet dander allergy)

Asthma (as maintenance therapy – not for acute attacks)

Chronic urticaria (hives, itching)

Exercise-induced bronchospasm (prevention)
Mechanism of Action
-
Montelukast: Leukotriene receptor antagonist → blocks leukotrienes → reduces airway inflammation & prevents bronchospasm

Levocetirizine: Antihistamine (H1 blocker) → relieves sneezing, itching, watery eyes & nasal congestion

Combined Effect: Comprehensive control of allergic + asthma symptoms
Dosage & Administration

Adults & Children above 15 years: 1 tablet once daily in the evening (as prescribed)

Can be taken with or without food

Not suitable for sudden asthma attacks – use rescue inhaler for that
