Description

Amlodac-AT Tablet is a dual-action antihypertensive medicine containing Amlodipine and Atenolol.

• Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

• Atenolol reduces heart rate and workload on the heart.

Together, they are highly effective in controlling high blood pressure and preventing heart complications.

Uses / Indications

• High blood pressure (Hypertension)

• Angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood supply to heart)

• Prevention of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications

• Hypertension with high heart rate

Dosage (General Guidance)

(As prescribed by physician)

• Adults: Usually 1 tablet daily

• Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day

Route: Oral

Side Effects

• Fatigue, dizziness, weakness

• Swelling of ankles/feet (edema)

• Slow heartbeat (bradycardia)

• Cold hands and feet

• Nausea, stomach discomfort

• Rare: Low BP, shortness of breath, depression

Precautions / Warnings

• Avoid in patients with severe heart block, asthma, or very low blood pressure

• Use cautiously in diabetes (may mask signs of low sugar)

• Do not stop suddenly – may worsen angina or cause rebound hypertension

• Caution in liver or kidney impairment

• May cause dizziness – avoid driving until response is known

• Digoxin (↑ risk of slow heartbeat)
