Each tablet contains:

Amlodipine Besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg
Uses / Indications
Amlopres 5mg Tablet is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – helps in long-term blood pressure control.

Angina Pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart).

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD).
-
Prevention of heart attack, stroke, and kidney complications in patients with high BP.
Mechanism of Action

Belongs to Calcium Channel Blockers (CCBs).

Relaxes and widens blood vessels → lowers blood pressure.
-
Improves oxygen supply to heart muscles → prevents angina.
-
Reduces workload on the heart.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 5 mg once daily.

May be increased to 10 mg once daily if needed (only under medical advice).

Can be taken with or without food.

Take at the same time daily.

Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor.
