Composition

• Atorvastatin 20 mg

Description

Atocor 20 mg Tablet is a statin-class cholesterol-lowering medicine. It works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which reduces cholesterol production in the liver. This helps lower LDL (bad cholesterol), VLDL, and triglycerides, while increasing HDL (good cholesterol). It is mainly prescribed for patients with high cholesterol levels or those at risk of heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events.

Uses

• Treatment of high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia)

• Prevention of heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients

• Management of mixed dyslipidemia

• Used in diabetic or hypertensive patients to reduce cardiac risk
