Description

Atocor 40 mg Tablet, manufactured by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, belongs to the group of medicines known as statins. It helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL, VLDL, triglycerides) and increases good cholesterol (HDL). By reducing cholesterol production in the liver, it helps prevent atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in blood vessels), thereby lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications.

Uses

• Treatment of severe hypercholesterolemia (very high cholesterol)

• Treatment of hypertriglyceridemia (high triglycerides)

• Prevention of heart attack, angina, and stroke

• Management of mixed dyslipidemia

• Cardiovascular risk reduction in patients with diabetes, hypertension, obesity, or family history of heart disease
