📌 Description

Azee 100 mg Dry Syrup is a pediatric antibiotic formulation containing Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It is effective against a wide range of bacterial infections in children by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby stopping their growth and multiplication.

✅ Indications / Uses

Prescribed for the treatment of:

• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

• Ear, nose & throat infections (otitis media, throat infections)

• Skin & soft tissue infections (cellulitis, abscess, impetigo)

• Other bacterial infections as advised by the physician

⚠️ Not effective against viral infections such as cold or flu.

💊 Dosage & Administration

• Dose depends on the child’s age, body weight, and severity of infection.

• To be taken once daily, as directed by the physician.

• Reconstitution: Add boiled & cooled water up to the mark on the bottle, shake well before each use.

• Can be given with or without food. Giving with food may reduce stomach upset.

• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

• Loss of appetite

Serious (rare):

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty)

• Liver problems (jaundice, dark urine, persistent fatigue)

⚠️ Precautions & Warnings

• Contraindicated in children with allergy to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics.

• Inform the doctor about any heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation).

• Shake bottle well before each dose. Use the measuring cup/syringe provided.

• Discard any unused suspension after the recommended period (usually 7–10 days).
