Uses / Indications
Budecort Respules 1 mg are prescribed for:

Asthma (moderate to severe) – long-term prevention and control.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

Prevention of recurrent wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathlessness.
How It Works

Budesonide reduces airway inflammation, swelling, and mucus production.

Improves lung function and prevents asthma/COPD flare-ups.

Not for immediate relief → works only as maintenance therapy.
Dosage (General Guide – only as prescribed by doctor)

Adults & Children (≥12 years): 1 respule (1 mg) via nebuliser once or twice daily.

Children (6–12 years): May be prescribed at lower doses.

Not for sudden asthma attacks (rescue inhaler like Asthalin needed).
How to Use

Twist open respule and pour contents into nebuliser chamber.

Inhale mist via mask/mouthpiece for 5–10 minutes.

Discard leftover solution after use.

Rinse mouth after inhalation to avoid fungal infection (oral thrush).
Side Effects
Common: Throat irritation, cough, hoarseness, oral thrush, mild headache.
Serious (rare): Severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, allergic reaction.
