Budecort Rotacaps 100 are prescribed for:

Asthma (mild to moderate) – long-term control & prevention.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

Prevents symptoms like wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathlessness.
How It Works

Budesonide reduces airway inflammation, swelling, and mucus.

Improves breathing and prevents flare-ups of asthma/COPD.

Not a rescue medicine → only for maintenance therapy.
Dosage (General Guide – only as prescribed by doctor)

Adults & Children (≥6 years): 1 rotacap twice daily.

Not for sudden asthma attacks (rescue inhaler like Asthalin needed).

Must be used only with a Rotahaler device.
How to Use (with Rotahaler)

Insert rotacap into the Rotahaler.

Twist to pierce the capsule.

Inhale powder deeply through mouthpiece.

Hold breath for a few seconds, then exhale.

Discard empty capsule after use.
Side Effects
Common: Throat irritation, hoarseness, oral thrush, cough, mild headache.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, allergic reaction.
