Uses / Indications
Cardace 10mg Capsule is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – for patients not adequately controlled with lower doses (2.5mg/5mg).

Heart Failure – improves survival and reduces hospitalizations.

Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – lowers the risk of recurrence and complications.

Long-term prevention of stroke, kidney disease, and cardiovascular events in high-risk patients (e.g., diabetes, chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease).
Mechanism of Action
-
Ramipril is an ACE Inhibitor (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor).

Inhibits conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II → prevents narrowing of blood vessels.

Relaxes and widens arteries → lowers blood pressure.

Reduces workload on the heart, improves blood flow, and protects kidneys.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 2.5–10 mg once daily (can be divided if needed).
