Composition

Each actuation (puff) delivers:

• Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate 6 mcg (Long-acting Beta-2 Agonist – LABA)

• Tiotropium Bromide 9 mcg (Long-acting Anticholinergic – LAMA)

• Propellant & excipients

Uses / Indications

Duova Inhaler is prescribed for long-term treatment of:

1. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

2. Chronic bronchitis & emphysema

3. Maintenance therapy for airflow obstruction, wheezing, and breathlessness

(Not usually prescribed for asthma unless advised by doctor)

How It Works

• Formoterol → relaxes airway smooth muscles, provides bronchodilation for up to 12 hours.

• Tiotropium → blocks muscarinic receptors → prevents airway narrowing.

• Together → provide dual long-acting bronchodilation, improving lung function & easing breathing.

Dosage (General Guide – only as prescribed by doctor)

• Adults: 2 inhalations once daily.

• Not recommended for children under 18 years.

• Not for sudden asthma/COPD attacks → rescue inhaler should be used separately.

How to Use

1. Shake inhaler before use.

2. Exhale fully, place mouthpiece between lips.

3. Press canister while inhaling deeply.

4. Hold breath for 5–10 seconds, then exhale.

5. Rinse mouth after use.

Side Effects

Common: Dry mouth, cough, sore throat, headache, tremors, dizziness.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, eye pain/blurred vision, allergic reaction, worsening breathing.

Precautions & Warnings

• Not for acute asthma/COPD attacks.

• Use with caution in heart disease, glaucoma, prostate problems, thyroid disorders, diabetes.

• Rinse mouth after use to avoid throat irritation.

• Use in pregnancy & breastfeeding only if prescribed.

Storage

• Store below 30°C, away from direct heat & sunlight.

• Do not puncture or burn even when empty.

• Keep out of reach of children.
