Description
Feburic 40 Tablet contains Febuxostat, a medicine that reduces uric acid production in the body by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase.
It is prescribed to patients with chronic hyperuricemia and gout, where excess uric acid leads to painful joint inflammation and urate crystal deposits.
Uses / Indications

Treatment of chronic gout

Management of hyperuricemia in patients not adequately controlled by allopurinol or who are intolerant to it

Prevents urate crystal formation in joints, kidneys, and tissues
Dosage (General Guidance)

Adults: 40 mg once daily; may be increased to 80 mg once daily if uric acid levels not controlled

Can be taken with or without food

Regular monitoring of serum uric acid is required

Precautions / Warnings

Not recommended in asymptomatic hyperuricemia

Avoid use during pregnancy & breastfeeding unless prescribed
