Uses / Indications
Foracort Inhaler 200 is prescribed for:

Asthma (moderate to severe) – long-term prevention of symptoms.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

Reduces frequency and severity of wheezing, coughing, and breathlessness.
How It Works

Budesonide → reduces airway inflammation & swelling.
-
Formoterol → relaxes airway muscles for up to 12 hours.

Together → provide dual action: prevent asthma/COPD symptoms + improve lung function.
Dosage (General Guide – as prescribed by doctor)

Adults & Children (≥6 years): 2 inhalations twice daily.

Not for immediate relief of asthma attack (use Asthalin or other reliever inhaler separately).
How to Use

Shake inhaler before use.

Exhale fully, place mouthpiece in mouth.

Press canister while inhaling deeply.
-
Hold breath for 5–10 seconds, then exhale.

Rinse mouth after use to prevent fungal infection (oral thrush).
Side Effects
Common: Throat irritation, hoarseness, oral thrush, cough, tremors, headache.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe breathing issues, allergic reaction.
Precautions & Warnings

Not a rescue inhaler – do not use for sudden attacks.
