Description
Glimiprex 3 mg Tablet contains Glimepiride, an oral hypoglycemic medicine of the sulfonylurea class.
It is prescribed for patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus to help control blood sugar levels by:

Stimulating pancreatic β-cells to release more insulin

Improving the body’s response to insulin
It is generally used in patients requiring a moderate strength dose when 1 mg or 2 mg tablets are insufficient.

Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (non-insulin dependent)

Can be used alone or in combination with Metformin, Pioglitazone, or Insulin

Helps reduce long-term risk of diabetic complications like kidney disease, neuropathy, retinopathy, and heart problems

Adults: Usually 1–4 mg once daily (3 mg given when moderate control is needed)

Maximum dose: 6–8 mg/day

Should be taken before or with breakfast at the same time daily
