Description

Losar 50 Tablet contains Losartan Potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart-related conditions.
It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a chemical that causes blood vessels to tighten and narrow. This leads to relaxation of blood vessels, improved blood flow, and reduced blood pressure.

Uses / Indications

• High blood pressure (Hypertension)

• Heart failure

• Kidney protection in patients with Type 2 Diabetes and proteinuria

• Prevention of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy

Dosage (General Guidance)

(As prescribed by physician)

• Adults: Usually 50 mg once daily; dose may be adjusted up to 100 mg/day depending on response

• Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day

• Increased potassium levels (hyperkalemia)

• Potassium-sparing diuretics (↑ risk of hyperkalemia)
