Uses / Indications

Manforce 100 Tablet is prescribed for:

• Erectile Dysfunction (ED) – inability to achieve or maintain an erection during sexual activity

• Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) – only under specialist advice (off-label in some cases)

Mechanism of Action

• Sildenafil Citrate (PDE5 inhibitor):

  • Enhances nitric oxide (NO) effect → relaxes smooth muscles in penile blood vessels

  • Increases blood flow to penis → helps in achieving & sustaining erection

• Works only with sexual stimulation (does not increase desire on its own)

Dosage & Administration

• Adults (ED): 1 tablet (100 mg) once daily, taken about 30–60 minutes before sexual activity

• Maximum dose: 100 mg in 24 hours

• Take with water, with or without food (heavy meals may delay onset)

• Duration of action: 4–6 hours

Side Effects

• Common: headache, dizziness, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, visual disturbances

• Rare: chest pain, priapism (erection >4 hours), sudden vision or hearing loss

Precautions & Warnings

• Contraindicated in patients taking nitrate medications (risk of severe hypotension)

• Caution in patients with:

  • Severe heart problems
