Description

Monocef 250 Injection contains Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections including those affecting the lungs, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, abdomen, and blood. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall formation, thereby killing the bacteria and stopping infection spread.


Uses of Monocef 250 Injection

  • Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Bone and joint infections

  • Intra-abdominal infections (peritonitis)

  • Septicemia (blood infection)

Dosage & Administration

  • Adults & Children: Dose depends on infection severity and doctor’s advice

  • Route: Intravenous (IV) infusion/slow injection or deep intramuscular (IM)
