Norflox 400 Tablet contains Norfloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA replication, repair, and transcription, thereby stopping bacterial growth.

✅ Indications / Uses

Norflox 400 is prescribed for the treatment of:

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Gastrointestinal infections (bacterial diarrhoea, dysentery, traveler’s diarrhoea)

• Prostatitis (prostate gland infection)

• Gonorrhea and certain other STIs

• Other infections caused by norfloxacin-sensitive bacteria

⚠️ Not effective against viral infections (like flu or cold).

💊 Dosage & Administration

• Usual adult dose: 400 mg twice daily (morning and evening), as directed by the physician.

• Should be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals) with water.

• Avoid taking with milk or dairy products as they reduce absorption.

• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
