Uses / Indications

Pari CR 25 Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of:

• Depression (Major Depressive Disorder)

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

• Panic Disorder

• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

• Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

Mechanism of Action

• Paroxetine (SSRI):

  • Increases serotonin levels in the brain by preventing its reuptake

  • Improves mood, reduces anxiety, and helps manage obsessive & panic symptoms

• CR (Controlled Release): Ensures slow, steady drug release → improved tolerability, fewer side effects, once-daily dosing

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: Usually 25 mg once daily, may be increased gradually if needed

• Should be taken in the morning with food

• Swallow whole with water – do not crush or chew

• Dose tapering needed when stopping (to avoid withdrawal symptoms)

Side Effects

• Common: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, sweating, constipation, dry mouth
