Mechanism of Action

  • Paroxetine (SSRI):

    • Increases serotonin levels in the brain by blocking its reuptake

    • Helps improve mood, reduce anxiety, and control obsessive & panic symptoms

  • CR (Controlled Release): Provides steady release of medicine → ensures once-daily dosing with fewer side effects


Dosage & Administration

  • Adults: Usually 50 mg once daily, as prescribed by psychiatrist
