Uses / Indications

Pari CR 75 Tablet is prescribed for moderate to severe psychiatric conditions, including:

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

• Panic Disorder & Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

• Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

Mechanism of Action

• Paroxetine (SSRI):

  • Increases serotonin levels in the brain by blocking its reuptake

  • Improves mood, reduces anxiety, stabilizes obsessive thoughts & panic symptoms

• CR (Controlled Release): Provides gradual & sustained release → maintains steady drug levels, improves compliance, reduces side effects

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: Usually 75 mg once daily, as prescribed by psychiatrist

• Take in the morning with food

• Swallow whole – do not crush or chew (to preserve controlled release)

• If discontinuing, reduce gradually (taper) to avoid withdrawal symptoms

Side Effects

• Common: nausea, dizziness, headache, sweating, constipation, dry mouth, drowsiness
