Uses / Indications
Ramace 2.5mg Capsule is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – lowers and maintains blood pressure.

Heart Failure – improves symptoms and survival.
-
Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – prevents recurrence and reduces complications.

Long-term prevention of stroke, kidney disease, and cardiovascular events in high-risk patients (e.g., diabetes, chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease).
Mechanism of Action
-
Ramipril is an ACE Inhibitor (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor).

Inhibits conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II → prevents narrowing of blood vessels.

Relaxes and dilates arteries → lowers blood pressure.

Improves blood circulation, reduces strain on the heart, and protects kidneys.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 2.5–10 mg daily.

2.5 mg once daily is a common starting dose.

Dose may be increased gradually depending on blood pressure and response.
