Uses / Indications
Ramipres 2.5mg Capsule is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – lowers and controls blood pressure.

Heart Failure – improves symptoms and survival rates.

Post-Myocardial Infarction (after heart attack) – reduces risk of recurrence and complications.

Long-term prevention of stroke, kidney problems, and cardiovascular complications in high-risk patients (diabetes, CKD, CAD).
Mechanism of Action
-
Ramipril is an ACE Inhibitor (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitor).

Prevents conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II → avoids narrowing of blood vessels.

Relaxes and widens arteries → lowers blood pressure.

Improves circulation, reduces strain on the heart, and protects kidneys.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 2.5–10 mg daily.

2.5 mg once daily is typically the starting dose.
