Composition

• Rabeprazole Sodium 40 mg

Description

Razo 40 mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces excessive stomach acid. It is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe GERD (acid reflux), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. By blocking acid secretion in the stomach lining, it relieves symptoms like heartburn, acidity, indigestion, and ulcer pain, while also promoting healing of the gastrointestinal tract.

Uses

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

• Severe acidity and heartburn

• Peptic ulcers (stomach and duodenal)

• Erosive esophagitis (acid-induced inflammation of the food pipe)

• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (chronic high acid secretion)

• Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers

Dosage

• Abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation

• Flatulence

Rare (long-term use):

• Vitamin B12 deficiency

• Low magnesium levels

• Bone weakness/fractures

• Allergic skin reaction

Precautions

• Not for immediate relief of acidity (takes a few days for full effect)

• Caution in liver disease patients

• Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if prescribed

• Avoid alcohol, smoking, and oily/spicy foods for best results

• Long-term use only under medical supervision
