Uses / Indications

Rebekind-D Capsule is prescribed for:

• GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) – acid reflux, heartburn

• Gastritis (stomach lining inflammation)

• Peptic ulcers (stomach & duodenal ulcers)

• Indigestion, bloating, and burping

• Nausea & vomiting associated with acidity/reflux

• Non-ulcer dyspepsia

Mechanism of Action

• Rabeprazole (PPI):

  • Blocks proton pumps in stomach lining → reduces acid secretion

  • Promotes ulcer healing & relieves acidity

• Domperidone (Prokinetic):

  • Increases stomach & intestinal motility

  • Prevents reflux, nausea, and vomiting

• Combined Effect: Controls acidity + improves gastric emptying

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 1 capsule daily before breakfast, or as prescribed

• Swallow whole with water – do not crush or chew

• Duration: depends on severity (generally 2–8 weeks)

Side Effects

• Common: headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort

• Rare: dry mouth, dizziness, rash, constipation

• Long-term PPI use may rarely cause Vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, bone weakness

Precautions & Warnings

• Caution in patients with liver disease, kidney problems, or heart rhythm disorders (QT prolongation with domperidone)
