Uses / Indications

Rebekind-IT Capsule is prescribed for:

• GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) – acid reflux, heartburn

• Functional dyspepsia (indigestion, bloating, discomfort after meals)

• Peptic ulcers (stomach & duodenal ulcers)

• Gastritis (stomach inflammation)

• Nausea & vomiting associated with reflux

• Gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying)

Mechanism of Action

• Rabeprazole (PPI):

  • Blocks proton pumps in stomach lining → reduces acid secretion

  • Promotes ulcer healing & relieves heartburn

• Itopride (Prokinetic):

  • Increases movement of stomach & intestines

  • Speeds up gastric emptying → reduces bloating, nausea, and reflux

• Combined Effect: Acid suppression + improved gastric motility → better symptom relief in GERD & dyspepsia

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 1 capsule daily, before breakfast (or as prescribed)

• Swallow whole with water – do not crush or chew

• Duration: depends on condition (generally 4–8 weeks for GERD/ulcers)

Side Effects

• Common: headache, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain

• Less common: dizziness, rash, dry mouth

• Rare: low magnesium (long-term PPI use), mild tremors, galactorrhea (rare with Itopride)
