Uses / Indications
Rebekind Tablet is prescribed for:

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) – acid reflux, heartburn

Peptic ulcers (stomach and duodenal ulcers)

Gastritis (inflammation of stomach lining)

Dyspepsia / Indigestion
-
Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (excess stomach acid production)

Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of ulcers & reflux
Mechanism of Action

Rabeprazole (PPI):
-
Inhibits proton pumps in stomach lining
-
Reduces secretion of gastric acid
-
Promotes ulcer healing & provides long-lasting relief from acidity and heartburn

Dosage & Administration
-
Adults: Usually 1 tablet daily, 30 minutes before breakfast (or as prescribed)

In severe cases, doctor may increase dose to 40 mg daily

Duration: usually 4–8 weeks for ulcers/GERD, longer for chronic conditions

Swallow whole with water – do not crush or chew
Side Effects

Common: headache, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain

Rare: dizziness, rash, dry mouth, flatulence

Long-term use may rarely cause Vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, osteoporosis (bone weakness)
