Description

Roxid 150 Tablet contains Roxithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth.
It is effective against a variety of respiratory, skin, and soft tissue infections.

Uses / Indications

• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

• ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media)

• Skin & soft tissue infections (boils, abscess, cellulitis)

• Urinary tract infections (UTI)

• Dental infections

Dosage (General Guidance)

(As prescribed by physician)

• Adults: 150 mg twice daily (every 12 hours)

• Children: Dose adjusted according to body weight (usually syrup formulations)

• Duration: 5–10 days depending on severity of infection

Route: Oral
Advice: Best taken before meals for maximum absorption

Side Effects

• Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset

• Diarrhea, abdominal pain

• Rash, itching (allergy)

• Headache, dizziness

• Rare: Liver enzyme abnormalities, arrhythmia
