Description

Roxid Forte Tablet contains Roxithromycin 300 mg, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing growth and multiplication of bacteria.
This high-strength formulation is prescribed in moderate to severe respiratory, skin, and ENT infections.

Uses / Indications

• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

• ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media)

• Skin & soft tissue infections (cellulitis, abscess, boils)

• Urinary tract infections (UTI)

• Dental infections

Dosage (General Guidance)

• Adults: 1 tablet (300 mg) once daily OR 150 mg twice daily

• Children: Syrup formulations preferred (dose adjusted as per weight)

• Duration: 5–10 days depending on severity

Route: Oral
Advice: Best taken before meals for maximum absorption

• Headache, dizziness

• Skin rash, itching (allergic reaction)

• Rare: Liver enzyme abnormalities, heart rhythm disturbances
