Composition

Each rotacap contains:

• Salmeterol 25 mcg (Long-acting Beta-2 Agonist – LABA)

• Fluticasone Propionate 250 mcg (Inhaled Corticosteroid – ICS)

• Lactose monohydrate (excipient & carrier)

Uses / Indications

Seroflo Rotacaps 250 are prescribed for:

1. Moderate to severe asthma – long-term control & prevention.

2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

3. Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

4. Prevents frequent wheezing, breathlessness, coughing, and chest tightness.

How It Works

• Salmeterol → relaxes airway smooth muscles, bronchodilation for up to 12 hours.

• Fluticasone → reduces airway inflammation & swelling.

• Combined → better control of asthma & COPD symptoms.

Dosage (General Guide – only as prescribed by doctor)

• Adults & Children (>12 years): 1 rotacap twice daily.

• Not for sudden asthma attacks (rescue inhaler required separately).

• Must be used only with a Rotahaler device.

How to Use (with Rotahaler)

1. Insert rotacap into the Rotahaler.

2. Twist to pierce capsule.

3. Inhale powder deeply through mouthpiece.

4. Hold breath for a few seconds, then exhale.

5. Discard empty capsule.

Side Effects

Common: Throat irritation, cough, oral thrush, hoarseness, headache.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe breathing problems, allergic reaction.

Precautions & Warnings

• Not for emergency asthma relief.

• Rinse mouth after each use to avoid fungal infection.

• Use cautiously in heart disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, infections.

• Do not stop treatment suddenly without doctor’s advice.

• Safe in pregnancy & breastfeeding only if prescribed.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place below 25–30°C.

• Keep in original strip until use.
