Composition

Each rotacap contains:

• Salmeterol 25 mcg (Long-acting Beta-2 Agonist – LABA)

• Fluticasone Propionate 500 mcg (Inhaled Corticosteroid – ICS)

• Lactose monohydrate (excipient & carrier)

Uses / Indications

Seroflo Rotacaps 500 are prescribed for:

1. Severe persistent asthma – long-term control & prevention.

2. Moderate to severe COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

3. Chronic bronchitis & emphysema.

4. Prevents frequent wheezing, chest tightness, coughing, and breathlessness.

How It Works

• Salmeterol → relaxes airway smooth muscles (bronchodilation for up to 12 hours).

• Fluticasone → reduces inflammation, swelling & mucus in the airways.

• Together → provide strong and long-term asthma/COPD control.

Dosage (General Guide – only as prescribed by doctor)

• Adults: 1 rotacap twice daily.

• Not recommended for children under 12 years.

• Not for sudden asthma attacks (rescue inhaler required).

• Must be used with a Rotahaler device.

How to Use (with Rotahaler)

1. Insert rotacap into the Rotahaler.

2. Twist to pierce capsule.

3. Inhale powder deeply through mouthpiece.

4. Hold breath for a few seconds, then exhale.

5. Discard empty capsule after use.

Side Effects

Common: Throat irritation, oral thrush, cough, hoarseness, headache.
Serious (rare): Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe breathing problems, allergic reaction.

Precautions & Warnings

• Not for emergency asthma/COPD relief.

• Rinse mouth after each use to prevent fungal infection.

• Use cautiously in heart disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, infections.

• Do not stop suddenly without medical guidance.

• Safe in pregnancy & breastfeeding only if prescribed.

• Store in a cool, dry place below 25–30°C.
