Composition
Each tablet contains:

Uses / Indications
Telma-AM 40/5 Tablet is prescribed for:

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – especially in patients not controlled with single-drug therapy.

Reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications due to high BP.

Can be used in patients with Type 2 Diabetes and hypertension for added cardiovascular protection.
Mechanism of Action
-
Telmisartan (ARB): Blocks angiotensin II receptors → prevents blood vessel narrowing → lowers BP.

Amlodipine (CCB): Relaxes and dilates blood vessels by blocking calcium entry → improves blood flow and reduces heart’s workload.

Together, they provide dual action for better and sustained blood pressure control.
Dosage & Administration

Usual adult dose: 1 tablet once daily.

Should be taken at the same time every day.

Can be taken with or without food.

Do not discontinue without doctor’s advice.
