Description: Xone-S 1.5 g Injection is a combination of Ceftriaxone (3rd generation cephalosporin antibiotic) and Sulbactam (beta-lactamase inhibitor). This combination enhances antibacterial activity by killing harmful bacteria and preventing resistance. It is used in treating moderate to severe bacterial infections.

Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 1.5–3 g daily in divided doses; severe cases up to 4 g/day.

Children: 50–75 mg/kg/day (max 2 g/day).

Route: IV infusion or deep IM injection.

Side Effects: Pain/swelling at injection site, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, mild liver enzyme changes, rare allergic reactions.
Precautions:

Avoid in patients allergic to cephalosporins/penicillins.
