Description
Zifi-CV 50 Dry Syrup is a pediatric antibiotic combination of Cefixime and Clavulanic Acid.

Cefixime is a 3rd generation cephalosporin that kills bacteria by blocking cell wall synthesis.

Clavulanic Acid protects Cefixime from breakdown by resistant bacteria (beta-lactamase producing), making the combination more effective.
It is specially formulated for children in syrup form.
Uses / Indications

Respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)

ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media)

Urinary tract infections (UTI)

Typhoid fever

Skin & soft tissue infections

Resistant bacterial infections in children
Dosage (General Guidance)
(Strictly as per pediatrician’s prescription)

Children (>6 months): Approx. 8–10 mg/kg/day (based on Cefixime component), in 2 divided doses

Duration: 5–14 days depending on infection
Reconstitution & Use:

Add boiled & cooled water up to the mark, shake well

Shake before each use

Use measuring cup/syringe for accurate dose

Administer preferably after meals

Side Effects

Diarrhea, loose stools (common)

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain

Rash, itching (allergy)

Rare: Severe allergy, liver enzyme changes, blood count changes
Precautions / Warnings

Not effective in viral infections (cold, flu)

Avoid in children with penicillin/cephalosporin allergy
